What object removal does
Paint over anything in a photo you want gone — a stranger in the background, a stray sign, a cable, a timestamp. Bacon sends the painted area to an AI image model along with the rest of the photo, and it fills the painted area back in to match the surrounding lighting, texture, and perspective. It is the same Magic Eraser capability built into the Bacon editor, on its own page.

The AI looks at what surrounds the painted area and matches it — works best on a natural, repeating background like grass, pavement, sky, or a plain wall.
One credit per image
Each removal uses one AI credit, however much you painted. You will see how many you have before it runs, and a removal that fails does not spend one.

How do I remove an object from a photo?

How accurate is the fill?
Best on a natural background like grass, pavement, sky, or a plain wall. A very detailed area gives the AI less to match, so the result can look softer there.
Does this use AI credits?
Each removal uses one credit, shown before it runs. A failed removal does not spend one.
Can I paint over more than one object?
Yes — paint everything you want gone before pressing the button, and it's all filled in together.
What if I paint too much or too little?
Choose Clear painting to start over, or keep adjusting before you run it — nothing is sent until you press the button.
